King Solomon Shipping Company of Guyana IS NOT a HUGE RIP OFF

Yes, we've seen the thread and even addressed concerns of clients (former and present,/disgruntled and pleased) on the same thread.

However since it's the first thing showing up when you type in King Solomon Shipping - we keep hearing about it.

Some of the concerns/cases/instances being complained about are baffling to say the least - and with respect to anyone coming forward and saying This DID happen to Me with proof and receipts etc - this has never been done.

One particularly baffling instance was someone claiming that the received a half barrel of items when a full barrel was sent. They went on to assert that a King Solomon employee stole the other half of the barrel and that they did not make this discovery until they got back home. --- Then the person revealed that they sent their barrel DOOR-TO-PORT. So they actually went to Customs and cleared that barrel themselves (never was in the possession of the King Solomon Agents in Guyana)...

Didn't the Customs officials open the barrel in their presence so they could see half was missing? Why was King Solomon being blamed when they were the ones responsible for uplifting their Barrel.

Customers Please - when you go to uplift anything shipped - check your Items before you leave the wharf or our Office - it would be wise to have your family send you an itemized list of what they are sending - this way you can make immediate notification and have in your possession receipts and so on for any money you handed over or spent to any of our Staff for any reason.

Thank You!!! We look forward to doing Business with You.

  1. This stuff happens from time to time with every Shipping Co. - but c'mon who goes to the wharf and don't even open or look into their barrel - knowing very well that things could be missing - just wow.

  6. Thanks for the Vote of Confidence... all King Solomon Shipping - Richmond Hill Branch has tried to do from the inception is provide a courteous and reliable Shipping service to Guyana & The Caribbean.

It must be noted, however, that there are probably affiliates with other Shipping Companies who in an effort to attack this Co. have taken to the Internet which provides a somewhat anonymous nature where they state one disparaging story after another.

Anything to do with the Shipping process of King Solomon can be explained and thoroughly investigated if the very accusations are made in person - in our offices and with all relevant accompanying receipts and other documentation.

Lashing out on any Blog only serves to put theatrical stories out there with no real sense of accountability.

Every Shipping Co. will have delays from time to time with arrivals and deliveries. The very nature of the Business is reliant upon numerous factors and not within one persons control - customers would be better off to understand that when utilizing the Service.

We do continue to look forward to doing Business with You!!!

Did you sent your medications with the King Solomon Branch in Richmond Hill?

Did you pickup your package from the King Solomon Office which handles the RICHMOND HILL Location (we DO have a different Office from Main St. for pickups and Money Transfer Service)?

Also, we deliver - free of charge - our Air cargo so I'm assuming a box of meds would fall under this category - my next question is was this damaged box delivered to your doorstep and examined in the presence of our delivery personnel?

Then, Why did you not file complaints/make a police report or indeed bring the action if you have/had evidence that your package was 'punctured' and 'contents stolen'?

If would certainly not benefit the reputation of our Company to do the actions listed above.

    AS I'VE STATED BEFORE

If you have a problem with our Shipping Service - call our Office (The no. is in the Header of this Blog) - making commentsh ere about how lucky we are is pointless esp. if you can't prove your case at this Time.

We look forward to hearing from you, if you have tangible evidence of this wrongdoing you claim. Have a Good day.

When you tell me which Georgetown Guyana Location you have been dealing with, I can further address your anger. We have been addressing customer concerns in Guyana - this BLOG only serves the RICHMOND HILL BRANCH of King Solomon - if your item wasn't shipped thru us you need to contact where you initially did your Business with any and all complaints.

You can feel free to write about whatever you wish, I just don't see how this will help your issues if you do have legitimate problems and wish to be helped. Again I must reiterate that if you did not do your Business with this Branch please don't air your grievances on this Blog.

  14. I would also like to state that King Solomon - Richmond Hill Branch des not perform searches of packages sent thru our location. We ask what's in the Box/Barrel and expect you to be truthful because should anything illegal or inconsistent be found when US CUSTOMS or GUYANA CUSTOMS performs their searches and examinations of articles (which is their Job)it will be YOU that they will come after.

My point being that these are the 2 entities that search a customers belongings upon leaving and arrival in the relevant countries. Many customers ask us "Will Customs in Guyana check our Box/Barrel)?" - Well if they didn't won't it just be as easy as ABC to stuff them full of illegal contraband or items and ship away...

It is no news that some Customs officials have sticky fingers and upon searching may take items - its not unheard of. Our advice would be to keep receipts of the purchases made here in the US and to purchase insurance so if anything is missing a FULL INVESTIGATION can be carried out and compensations can be made.

Anything else is just unfounded accusations and rhetoric being spewed ANONYMOUSLY on a Public Blog. Do you really expect to be helped and have your issues addressed, seriously?

  17. All you care about is defending your company bad name.I don't need to lie to you to get your attention.I paid for services and thats what i wanted. And if you don't correct this problem, then you will lose alot of customer. And the blog will remain to show that King Solomon is a Hugh RIP OFF.

I dont know the street name in Georgetown, but the King Solomon office is located near Demico House[Qik Serve] & Bank Of Guyana. That location most customers having problems with.

The employees there are very rude, they don't pick up the phone, they talk to customers like pigs and they decide on how much you should pay.I didn't get no receipts and i felt like the overcharged especially for an empty box and they refused to listen.

I am from Berbice.I was told that the delivery van was broken and they wont be coming for the week.I had an emergency so i had to come to Georgetown to get my package.Who was going to refund me for my transportation fee or the cost for my stolen medication?

I was so shocked - customers was lining up on the steps and the had a iron-work grill door.It was like standing in a jail cell. Is that they way you treat customers? Can't you buy some chairs atleast?

Please don't try to defend those thieves you have working in the Georgetown location, have them fired them and pay a professional to do the job.

    Good Luck

  18. What's the point of you posting these unclickable links? Which we've already addressed on same posts regarding any complaints initiating from our Richmond Hill Branch - showing that we have been proactive and addressing such concerns. I will leave your Links up as you really seem to need then advertised.

However without the names, dates and times and concrete evidence there is nothing else we can do about any of these matters. So prove your case and we will acknowledge your concerns fully. These links and issues that you insist on posting (although I've previously deleted them) are dated 2007 - 2008 anyway. And our Branch has undergone many changes since then - in the US and esp. in Guyana.

Now if you have current issues of thievery, damaged goods, non-delivery, fraudulent charges (FROM SHIPMENTS ORIGINATING AT THE RICHMOND HILL BRANCH) - from here on in keep your evidence and call Us or Come in to deal with your Case accordingly.

Posting on this or any other Blog will get you no answers - after all you could be writing fiction at the very least. We can't check our records or do anything for you actually since we've never shipped anything for an Anonymous.

If because of the instances in 2006 and 2007 you have ceased doing Business with us - then you've moved on and so have we. Hope you're very Happy with who you do Business with now as there are many serving Guyana and we don't expect to get all the Business to that Region.

But if such is the case - this is now the final quarter of 2010 (2-3 yrs later) - why are you still trolling the Blogs for anything King Solomon - are you obsessed with Us? One would think that if these matters bothered you so much and are still the cankerous sore in your side after all these years that you would have gathered your evidence and presented your case to Us, the Police or a Court.

I'll say it again - going off on a Blog is pointless and futile. CALL OUR OFFICE in Richmond Hill, Qns.

  19. are you actually feeding into this person rants. it is clear he has ulterior motives. i guess, he forgot to mention what the company he is working for did to the workers who had over ten yrs of service. not to mention. the illegal pharmaceuticals he is shipping with the other company to his girlfriend, that they claim is for charity and making huge amounts of dollars on the innocent berbicians. i wish he does not call king solomon, because i am sure they do not need to be involved in his illegal activities. one day he is posing as a trader on wall street, the next day he is posing as a pharmacist. now he is posing as disgruntled consumer. every week, he pulls up with his saab to send chocolates to his love in guyana. laced with illegal shipment of pharmaceuticals, that customs dig it into him a day. and he was exposed. partially.

  20. When did this incident happen?
Which Branch did you ship your medication from?

I take it you are in Guyana, have your relatives in the US contact the Branch that they sent the package with.

The King Solomon Branches are all run by different Management (Brooklyn, NJ, Qns, GT) - and complaining to the Branches in the US about the conditions of the Branch in Georgetown is not very effective. We can let them know our customers aren't pleased with the conditions there (such as grill gate, no chairs) but we did/do not 'run the show' there. You would be more effective by lodging complaints to Management in Guyana about those issues than arbitrarily posting them to this Richmond Hill Branch Blog.

Our Richmond Hill Branch affiliate in Guyana is located directly opposite St. Ann's Orphanage - 301 Church & Thomas St.

The location you mention is the one that does Business with the Brooklyn and NJ Branches in the US - not US. So we would definitely not be able to help you with your issues.

    Have a Good Night.

  22. In November 2007 i received a package from King Solomon Shipping in Crabwood Creek. The package contained a use laptop. The truck driver said i have to pay 6000 GYD for tax/duties.He did not show me no documents that said i have to pay that amount. Neither i wasn't given a receipt upon payment.

I stood there waiting for the driver to open the truck door to collect my package but he won't give it to me. He said the person that send that package to me from N.Y did not paid their full shipping fees and that they owed 15 US on their shipping fees and i will have to pay that if i want the package, if not it will be returned to Georgetown.I know that he was a crook - i can see it on his face that he is just trying to rip me off. I just paid the 15 US more and get it over with.Because if the package is returned to Georgetown, I'd have to pay more than 15 US in transportation fees.

I know that if the full shipping fee is not paid in the US - King Solomon shipping would never mail the package. I know the Owner/Company probably have good intentions to provide/serve their customers but some of the crooks that you have working for the company only care to full their pockets.

    Do something about it!!!

  23. Ravi we did not start this Blog to throw hate and slander back and forth to ther Companies - its main purpose is to alert our customers of the NEW things we've implemented and are doing at our Branch - Richmond Hill.

The Branch the person is compalining about in Guyana - is the one that deals with the shipments out of Brooklyn and NJ - and I just clarified that.

We can address factual information presented to us - anything else is useless. if this is indeed the work of one person with a sinister agenda to boost their own Company and Business - Time will Tell & all we can do is Pray for them. There are too many overseas-based Guyanese creating a vibrant and bustling Shipping Industry to Guyana for anyone to feel the need to promote character assasination on a specific Company. All we can do is hope they 'get a life'.

But from the information and facts presented the issues presented in the aforementioned comments have nothing to do with our Branch and I hope they will now desist from posting their grievance here.

Thank You for your support Ravi Opal... "This too shall Pass"

I implore you all to realise that this Branch is the one in Richmond Hill - we can DO NOTHING about your shipments from NJ or Brooklyn... and we are very open to dialogue, so have your party in the US contact us ASAP if you have problems such as no receipts given, missing items etc ORIGINATING FROM THE RICHMOND HILL BRANCH IN QNS.

    Thank You!!!

  25. dont give him justification, why would you give him justification for wrong doings. and what is so funny is, the other company which is far larger than yours king solomon, is actually paying him to do this, for such a small company like yours. by the way, he is also a family member of theirs. so i suggest u just leave him with little notes, instead of trying to explain to him your process, his aim is to help the fledging company he is associated with muster up there last breath of existence. gambling is for vegas, not guyana. oops, there i go again. the company leader he is associated with, also does a little poker. enjoy your day andrew

Just so you know, the package was sent to me: Mohammed Rahaman, West Coast Berbice. That medication was for my ailing grandmother who is suffering from Angina at the Balwant Singh Hospital.Dr.Pankaj prescribed those medications for her.

So pretty boy Ravi, i am a man and i dont need chocolates. You seem to know alot about wife-beater because thats what you probably do best.

  28. And when when was this package sent to you Mohammed? I am simply trying to ascertain if this is a recent incident or one from 2007? You don't have to post your Name etc here on this Blog - you can email us at nabacliscity@aol.com or have your sender call the office if they did send thru The Richmond Hill Branch.

    The last comment "Anonymous said...

If this is the same person who said they went to the Office near Demico to get their packages and is complaining about the grillwork etc. - if this is recently your package could not have been sent thry the Richmond Hill Branch. I would confirm this with your Sender, and let your sender go into the Office that they did business with.

Ravi is doing nothing "for" King Solomon - I actually have no idea who, the incidents, instances or which Co. he's speaking of - I am guessing the "Andrew" he spoke of is from Baigan Choka (as I've corresponded with Andrew myself in the past)since numerous links were posted here from that site. Ravi is talking his own story - as colorful as they may be.

Please know that if customers were satisfied, then there wouldn't be 151 comments on this topic.Customers write because they needed your help.

The employees in Guyana need to be more courteous, they should be able to take queries, and customers should be able to know before-hand how much taxes/duties they will have to pay and should be able to collect their receipt upon payment.

Also it would be nice to have an employee to dealt with customer service - loss/stolen items, questions, comments, suggestions.

  35. is this person serious. king solomon i believe this person has mental problems or is a shipping agency that is trying to get customers. and i believe the latter. and it seems baiganchoka, who must not be getting any hits, is in cohoots with this no name individual. for something that happened over three years ago, they take it upon themselves to copy and paste your comments on there site. and goes in to details as to why you created your site. which as an investigator i find interesting. this is not a disgruntled customer, who is looking for a solution. this is a handicapped person, that unfortunately has a hard time dealing with reality. this is not guyana as u know it. this is america.

  39. Ravi, I've read their little front page piece and I can't wait for their follow-up article after they send someone into our Offices on Liberty Ave in Richmond Hill to 'test' our operations.

The person in 2008 who felt in necessary to air out their frustrations on that Blog and not follow due process is persona non grata to Us. We have never been approached by a customer stating such an occurance or seeking compensation - so that can very well be fiction designed for sensationalism, I guess we'll never know.

Here at King Solomon we're concerned with out Business and operations, and because of this have not been 'testing' other shipping Companies or asking our clients or friends to do so because it just seems time consuming, childish and unnnecessary. We can't ship every document, parcel, barrel or crate to Guyana and we certainly don't need to go around badmouthing the other Companies who provide similar services.

Once again our Office in Guyana is located at 301 Church and Thomas Streets (opp. St. Ann's Orphanage)

    - we became aware of complaints about the Staff and operations at the main St Office which served as a base for all the US-based Branches, and we exercised our options to separate our Branch operations to make it more within our control.

    Have a Wonderful Day!!!
